Basics

Online, I tend to go by Moth, and my usernames are usually mothpup or some variation. I am a 21, in uni, and reside in the midwest, usa. I made a website because every major social media platform is dogshit and I don't want my words, likeness, an art being stolen just to produce AI nonsense.

Interests

A big hobby of mine is being a furry. I have many fursonas/ocs, own a fursuit, and go to furry conventions. I have been drawing furries and other cute things since 2017. I also love concerts, especially local DIY shows. My favorite musician for the past 4 years has been Will Wood. I also love video games, especially Minecraft. I enjoy reading, usually nonfiction, but I often struggle to focus. I am also interested in kissing my wife.

Queer Identity

If I were to identify myself in just a few words, I would say I am a bi trans man, but I find my relationship to queerness to be a bit more complicated. I am bisexual, though for a few years before coming out as a trans man I considered myself a lesbian. I have also been polyamorous in the past, though currently I am in a happy monogamous relatioship and don't plan to change anything anytime soon. As for my gender, I am a man, wholistically in every way, but also more. I see my gender as being a man but also taking on more than that, not in a nonbinary way, but in a direction away from both manhood and womanhood. Man+ may be the best way to put it, though I also feel connected to the terms "genderqueer" and "butch." If I were able to indentify in ways that didn't have to make sense to others, I would likley just call myself queer. I consider myself queer in that I reject current heternormative (and homonormative) ways of existing and instead choose to exist in ways that best benefit myself and those I love. I also really resonate with the terms f*g and transexual.

Academia

I LOVE being in univeristy. So much, in fact, that I have decided to pursue a PhD. Currently I am still in undergrad, but starting next year I will be applying to grad schools in order to study sociology. I am currently majoring in sociology with a minor in queer studies. Once I get a PhD, I hope to become a professor so I can get paid to both yap about my niche interests and to learn more about them. I have a lot of silly topics I want to do my own research on. I am particuarly interested studying in microsociology, transness, masculinity, power structures, internet (sub)culture, and definitely a whole bunch of other stuff.
